Folkboat Sailing

Chartering for holidays and weekends

So many wonderfull places in the Baltic are easily accessible: the lovely Flensburger Förde, the Schlei, the Kieler or Lübecker Bay or the so called Danish South Seas – to name just a few.

We can suggest an itinery and time plan, if you have a favourite stop-over in mind.

Or how about a trip up the Elbe? This majestic waterway goes from Hamburg to Cuxhaven on the North Sea. Anchor close to the small island of Pagensand; sail into the romantic river Schwinge and straight up to the old town of Stade; pause at Glückstadt or moor at the foot of the fantastic Elbphilharmonics building, Hamburg’s new concert hall.

So many possibilities! Ask us for details. We usually have at least one of our boats already in Hamburg, just waiting for you.

Skipper Training

If you would like to improve your skills as a sailor then we recommend our “skipper training” course. We cover many aspects of boat handling, for instance, sail trimming, anchoring and man-over-board manoevres. We can introduce newcomers to the complexities of sailing in tidal waters. The course can be tailored to suit your requirements.

Back-to back charter: Start and destination are different

If you would like to start at one location and finish at another, then book a back-to-back charter. For example, you take the boat over in Kiel (German Baltic sea coast) and sail to the Schlei (18 sm north). If possible, we organise the next charter crew to take over the boat at your destination (at no charge) or we bring the boat back (for a fee). Alternatively, you could organize a back-to-back charter for yourself using our sailor’s forum.
