Together wit Mumi and Maj we will refit her during wintertime. So next year you will have three perfect boats for chartering.
Mumi an Maj are danish boats as well, however built in the 1960’s.
Over all these years they have been well maintained so they are in excellent shape.
The boats offer room for a maximum of three adults or two adults and two children. They are checked and certified for the 20 seamiles range by the Germanischer Lloyd and permitted to be used as charter boats. We decided for the 20 seamiles certification, although it was much more comlex and expensive. That’s the only way to sail legaly e.g. direct from Kiel to the danish Southseas. Due to their plain layout, these boats are also suitable for experienced single handed sailors. Experiences with dinghies and outboardengines (for harbour manouvering) are a big benefit. But, no worry, our handovers are not done in five minutes and if necessary we sail a short distance together with you. In any case, everybody should feel comfortable sailing with a folkboat the first time. For use in calm weather or for harbour manoeuvres an outboard engine is installed at the stern.
Folkboats are famous for their fantastic sailing performance close-hauled and downwind as well. Averages of more than 5 knots and speeds of nearly 7 knots over a longer period are not uncommon.
Since summer 2013 our boats are equipped with modern, powerful 5-6 hp four stroke engines from Mercury and Tohatsu.
These are newest generation engines. With their 12 Liter external tanks it is possible to use the engines even for longer distances without refueling. And the best: much less noise in comparison to the older 2 stroke engines.
We will hold the old engines as an backup, so in case of engine trouble we will be able to change the whole engine in almost no time and your sailing trip won’t be hit by maintenance problems.

Elect. Heater for cold spring or autumn evenings, Gas stove, cooking crockery, crockery for four people and corkscrew, eco-dish-liquid, sink with dishcloth, towel for crockery, clothes-pegs, coffee-maker!

We recommend as extra accessories to bring for your charter trip:
Torch (one is on board), a headtorch is useful and spare batteries, allround knife, bedclothes or sleeping bags (due to hygienic reasons there are no pillows and blanket on board), sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sun cream, long shirts), mosquito protection, drugs against seasickness and painkillers, coal and steel brush for a barbecue (in many harbours you can use a barbecue), supplies for minimum two days (then you are more independent) and maybe another cleaning agent (eco-dish-liquid is on board).
